What a way to start our trip!

When Aunt Sue heard that we were trying to figure out the best way to get to the airport she graciously offered to take us..I declined several times but then realized that was not going to work and accepted her offer.  She sent an email the night before to confirm her arrival time and arrived early..when it was time to leave the house we went outside and she was standing at the car with white gloves on and when we looked in the back seat there were champagne glasses with fruit..cheese, crackers and mimosas!

Yes we did finish the entire bottle of champagne on the way to the airport ..and most of the snacks..and no we did not both sit in the back seat..  best ride to the airport we have ever had!  thanks again Aunt Sue! 

Now at Newark airport hanging out in the art lounge... a few more cocktails before we go..

See you in Amsterdam! 3 hour layover there...

Departure Day!

So excited today is finally here! Packing is all done.  I have a few last minute errands to run and we will be on our way! Ken has finally made his was to Barcelona and is now hopefully relaxing on the beach in Stiges after some challenges gettting to Spain.  Beth started her trip in London and saw what may be Adeles last concert ever! We will all meet in Barcelona tomorrow afternoon.

We are leaving the house about 1pm ..escorted to Newark by the one and only Aunt Sue who insisted on taking us to the airport.  I tried to decline several times but finally gave in and will catch up with Aunt Sue rather than spend an hour an a half with some strange UBER driver..

All the planning is done!

We are ready to go..plans, train and automobiles booked! Hotels booked..dinners, boat trips,tickets and shows booked!  It will be a busy but exciting trip!

Our anniversary will be one of the most relaxing day on our vacation.  Pool days at the beach club at Puente Romano in Marbella..lunch at the Sea Grille which offers an amaszing  seafood buffet...and dinner at Paco Jimenez in Marbella recommended by the staff at our hotel which is a nice walk from the hotel.

Check out our hotel in Marbella! Beautiful small boutique hotel in old town.  Used to be the home of Napoleon the III s wife.  The staff have helped with the planning of everything In Marbella..http://www.hotelclaudemarbella.com/en/hotel. Trying to think of a Philadelphia gift to bring them..

11 Days until Departure!

We are 11 days away from our Departure for Spain...18 days away from our 10th Anniversary  and 23 days from Wayne Running with the Bulls!

We definitely have a trip of planes,  trains and automobiles!  We have lots of great things planned for our trip. Amazing restaurants..boat trips..tours ..It will be am amazing trip!

June 30th Depart Newark- Stop in Amsterdam- Arrive Barcelona July 1st.

July 1-4 Barcelona( With our friends Ken and Beth)

July 4th Fly to Malaga and transport to Marbella

July 4-8 Marbella -

July 7th- Our 10th Anniversary!

July 8th- Train Malaga to Madrid

July 8-10- Madrid

July 10-13 - Pamplona! Wayne runs on the 12th

July 13th- Bus to Zaragoza - Spend 1 night in Zaragoza

July 14th- Train to Barcelona for our last night.

July 15th Fly home!
